What started as a seasonal collection became a local tradition. Original apparel and accessories designed for Newport Beach's Fourth of July celebrations, returning each year based on customer demand.

SANTA SURFS

Holiday merch, Surf style.

I created Santa Surfs as a local alternative to traditional holiday apparel—surf culture, California color and a little humor. The collection has grown across apparel and accessories and returns each holiday season through online sales and local holiday markets.

NEWPORT TOWERS

A little piece of Newport Beach, tower by tower.

I photographed every lifeguard tower along the Newport Beach peninsula, then turned the collection into original illustrations and a repeatable textile design. The individual towers—each with their own number, shape and personality—became the foundation for a collection of apparel, textiles and accessories inspired by the place I call home.

Lyrics, words to examine, reminders of our presence in a room, in the world. When all that is unnecessary is edited out, we are illuminated with simplicity...

Reminiscent of Japanese lanterns, each light box is one of a kind and constructed using reclaimed wood, LED lighting and hand printed text on pressed Mulberry paper. The simple text accentuates the words and the illumination beautifully helps them glow at night.

From the intentional perspective of an artist working from the city’s center, the ‘Urban Planning Project’ documents downtown Los Angeles’s streets. 

 Photography and printmaking naturally became suitable mediums in documentation, borrowing from ancient Japanese Ukiyo-e printmaking techniques that depicted urban centers and the interests of everyday life.  Symbols of our modern, everyday life such as business signage, architecture, and vegetation are reinterpreted in this collection creating contemporary images that span Los Angeles’s last decade of life.

Inspired by the laid back SURF culture, this collection combines plant extract dyed textiles with bold, recognizable, call to action words.

The rough and desolate landscape of the Sonoran Desert served as the inspiration for this collection of textiles and art. Photographed in Abandoned Mining towns the patterns and symbols are in direct relationship with the land.
